Matteo Crivello and Luigi Romani welcome you to Caesar’s Italian Restaurant. For more than 50 years, Caesar’s has been a North Beach institution serving traditional Italian cuisine such as homemade ravioli, Chicken Piccata and Risotto Pescatora.

Caesar’s is the perfect spot to celebrate your special occasions whether a family gathering, business meeting, birthday, retirement or rehearsal dinner. We are the “Banquet Masters” to the Italian community of San Francisco and all others who enjoy a good time in a comfortable atmosphere.

History

Caesar’s was established in 1956 by Caesar Fabrini and his three partners, who all came to the United States as youngsters and knew each other from playing soccer at the Italian Athletic club still in existence in North Beach today. At that time the neighborhood consisted of many small factories and there was a big Italian community made up of workers and fisherman and their families.

Caesar Fabrini had the inspiration to serve a seven course dinner at a moderate price for this community and so Caesar’s Italian restaurant was started.

The present owners Luigi Romani and Chef Matteo Crivello have been working at Caesar’s for decades. Luigi started in the kitchen 1976 and worked his way up through tending bar to running the front of the house.

Matteo is in charge of the kitchen and serves food inspired by both Northern and Southern Italian cuisine.
